First in our lab’s history to get this prestigious award! Well done, Pietro (and great talk at the ceremony)!
Last week we took part in the joined retreat of the Institutes of Virology, Molecular Immunology and
Experimental Oncology in Herrsching. There were many interesting talks, as well as an entertaining Science Slam and a fun scientific quiz. We had a great time learning more about ongoing projects at the institutes and look forward to many fruitful collaborations.
Four months ago, Lucie joined us for her MSc internship. It’s been a blast having you here. We hope you learned many useful skills that will become useful when back in Paris. Best of luck for the future and for temporarily strengthening the french community in our lab!
Their work on NS1 interaction with the Dengue virus NS4A-2K-4B precursor protein was published in Plos Pathogens. This very novel interaction is essential to drive replication of Dengue virus. Clearly, viral precursor proteins have many more functions than previously anticipated – still a lot to discover!
The automatic live cell imaging microscope is now fully operational inside a shiny new incubator.
